Ainda não foi desta, a sua oitava participação na prova, que Harada Satoru, rokudan, conseguiu ganhar o seu primeiro campeonato japonês de kendo.
Na final realizada ontem dia 3, no Budokan da capital japonesa, o polícia de Tóquio sucumbiu face a Suzuki Tsuyoshi, também rokudan, e "colega" da prefeitura de Chiba que participou na prova pela terceira vez.
A competitividade do encontro é tal que Sato H., o actual campeão do mundo, foi eliminado na primeira ronda. O outro Sato, o Mitsunobu, talvez o melhor sexto dan (não-polícia) do mundo teve igual sorte.

During the final match held yesterday, November 3rd in the Budokan of the japanese capital, the policeman from Tokyo, sucumbed against Suzuki Tsuyoshi, also rokudan, in his third participation, from the prefecture of Chiba.
Just to give you an idea of the competitiveness of the event, Sato H., the world champion in title, was put away of the competion in first round. The same thing happened to the other Sato, Mitsunobu, probably the best (non-cop) rokudan in the world.
