LIVRO INDISPENSÁVEL

Não é assim grande hábito meu aconselhar o que quer que seja relativamente ao kendo e à sua subsequente prática, no entanto, gostava de abrir uma pequena excepção. E essa excepção intitula-se:
Kendo Kata: Essence and Application.
Da autoria de INOUE Yoshihiko, Hanshi 8th dan, traduzido (para inglês) por Alex BENNETT e com fotos de IKEDA Emiko, Kendo Kata: Essence and Application, é um livro fabuloso.
Tudo, repito TUDO, o que qualquer kendoka sério pretenda saber sobre os katas de kendo está lá. É óbvio que a posse do livro não dispensa da prática de kata. Antes pelo contrário, incentiva e ajuda a descobrir a face menos conhecida desta nossa fantástica actividade chamada kendo.

INDISPENSABLE BOOK
It's not a habit of mine counselling people about matters related to kendo and it's practice, however, I'd like to make an exception. And that exception is called:
Kendo Kata: Essence and Application.
Written by INOUE Yoshihiko, Hanshi 8th dan, translated (to english) by Alex BENNETT with photos by IKEDA Emiko, Kendo Kata: Essence and Application, it's a trully fabulous book.
Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, any serious kendoka needs to know about kendo kata is there. Of course owning this book does not means you won't need to practice kata. On the contrary, it incentivates and helps uncovering the less know aspect of this activity we all love called kendo.
